The policy for amateur gyms changes all the time to reflect game economics. When the game is busy we tighten the rules for amateur gyms, maybe even shutting them down entirely. When we need to pick things up, we allow more amateur gyms and/or remove restrictions.
As of 2008/03/21:
- We are accepting registrations for amateur gyms
- There are currently no time limits on amateur gyms.
- Fighters in amateur gyms are not eligible to fight in world title fights
- Amateur gyms may have an unlimited number of fighters
- Amateur gyms may have an unlimited number of scheduled fights
- Amateur gyms may create fighters in any weight division
